Prominence expands Australian footprint, recruiting industry marketing veteran Melissa Turkington to head up Sydney team

Prominence, Asia Pacific’s first and largest specialist provider of digital and social marketing services tailored specifically for the recruitment sector, has grown their Australian customer base to a point where it represents over half of their annual turnover. To support this customer base and to also respond to the ever-growing demand for outsourced marketing services from the recruitment sector, Prominence has just hired industry marketing veteran Melissa Turkington to head up the Sydney team.

Chris South, the Founder and Director of Prominence, comments: “With ten staff already in New Zealand servicing Australia remotely we felt it was high time we had on-the-ground representation. The search has taken us over nine months but when we found Melissa we knew we had the right person. She is not only extremely credible on all things recruitment marketing, having worked for some of the industry’s leading brands as Head of Marketing but is also well connected and known throughout the broader recruitment community.”

Originally majoring in Marketing, Turkington has gone on to secure several other industry qualifications and has previous experience in both the UK and Australia as Associate Director – Marketing for Marks Sattin, Head of Marketing at FiveTen Group and most recently Head of Marketing APAC for Greythorn.
